Friend of Fast

Speed. In eve it is the end all be all in EVE. A fast ship is a good ship. A faster ship, is a better ship in almost all situations. Thankfully the serpentis corporation understands this, and has provided capsuleers with these wonderful implants:

HG + LG Snake

LG snakes are very cheap nowadays and flying with them is pretty clutch. If you have the ISK and are sprich (space rich) then HG is more of a good thing. Interestingly enough I have been playing a ton of eve recently (sadly only a small portion of it in bombers) None the less, I thought that I should post a few things here showcasing the power of speed, and how one can apply it to all aspects of PvP. (Don't worry I will make sure to throw in a special part regarding bombers.)

So lets get the bomber thing out of the way:

As you know, Hound / Purifer are the only bombers worth soloing in. Well soloing, if you prefer to shoot ships that can shoot back. Here are some preliminary fits I plan to bring into worm hole within the next few weeks.

This first fit is a bit pricey. On the other hand, that ship is un-touchable except by interceptors. With the new TE changes, any ship that is not using pulse lasers has a really difficult time projecting damage past 27K. With this fit, and speed- nothing touches me. Warriors (perfectly skilled) don't do nearly enough to break my MASB tank- so i can perma tank them. I can't wait to shoot some fraps as I blap WH 'PvP' players in this fit.

The purifier is a bit different. It doesn't have the CPU to MASB like the hound, so the SARR works just as well. T2 Amarr resits are pretty nice. I especially like this fit because of the versatility the dual prop gives you. MWD to run / close range- while you still have the AB to get under guns, or really mitigate incoming drone / missile DPS.

In the end, both fits are extremely similar and perform both of their functions very well.

With odyssey, the new scanning changes make every thing easier in WH in regards to probing. Check out some of the new hot keys, and some new tricks. (You can launch your probes while cloaked) The trick is extremely similar to the old MWD + Cloak trick. I enjoy these new changes just because it will make the bitch work of probing easier, and allow the intrepid bomber pilot to cover more ground faster. As I have stated before- 95% of the time in work hole is spent working for a kill. with 4% stalking / analyzing your approach and 1% shooting. If you can get faster / more proficient with the 95% then I promise that the other 5% of bombing will come more easily, frequently, and successfully than someone mainly focused on the pew.
Here is a recent gank I performed in my new Dual prop Purifier. Two guys chilling out and mining gas. I tried to pop the venture, but it warped out before my torps hit home. Luckily I pointed his exeq friend . Enjoy.

Grand Master NanoFiber

Today I have nothing to say about bombers. Instead, I was rummaging around in some of my video files looking at some older clips, of small gang fights. I came across something pretty fun. Now not many people know this, but other than bombers- the caracal navy issue / cerberus / caracal are some of my favorite ships.

Any member of EvE University reading this now, knows what my CNI did to your 'low sec fleets' while you guys attempted to kill off the pirates living in molden heath. But for those of you that don't know let me explain. Back before all of the HML and Drake nerfs, I found myself flying a ton of drakes. Now i loved the drake as much as the next guy- and found myself mostly flying the POODLA dual web drake when I was soloing. Now at the time the drake was a fine ship. But it lacked the agility  / speed I really needed and wanted while soloing. Caldari (and missile users in general) really didn't have a HAC. The drake was thought of as the pinnacle for missile platforms. Now this was in the days before the T1 cruiser buff, so the caracal was simply not usable. The cerberus is just too slow, and HML fit really didn't do anything better than the drake. So I thought that I was at a loss, and stuck flying the drake forever.

However one summers night, while sipping some absinthe- I came across something brilliant in my EFT lab. The caracal navy issue. Now many people dismissed this ship as a joke ship- but they were wrong.

Now to me- this fit had everything. 150K range with HMLs, Simmilar DPS to a drake, 2.3K+++ Speed- but the best part was this: Align time with MWD on was 3.9 seconds. Yes you are reading that correctly. This ship with an MWD on is more agile than most frigates, and is on par with interceptors. That coupled with the dual webs, made this ship the caldari HAC in my eyes. It shredded frigs, and could handle anything else.

I have killed talos, BC's, even vagabonds with this fit. It was simply astounding. I loved the performance, and the best part of all was- people underestimated this ship- big time. People thought that it was a joke ship, and at times would just throw themselves at me. But of course they didn't realize what this little thing could really go.

But enough talk- let me just show you :) Hope you enjoy. I am FC'ing this fight- but sadly I was not picked up on my audio capture. However my fleet mates responses you can clearly hear. Read the video description for more details.

Like a well oiled machine

Finally- I had made it. Down into C5/C6 space. It took some time, but now that I was here- I couldn't be happier. Sites down here netted a ton more isk. Add cap escalation into the mix- and you have a perfect storm.

Thankfully I didn't have to wait long for the tide to turn my way. I had been probing a string of C5 holes- when I finally found something active. Not only was it active, but they also had the cap ships out. It seems that they were running 'The mirror' using two moros, and a thanatos to ensure a good pay out on their end. Like clockwork, all of the sleepers were cleaned up, and the cap ships returned home to the safety of the POS. Which left me- sitting alone inside of a wreck field littered with sleeper BS wrecks.

It didn't take long for our noctis salvaging hero to arrive. I watched as he collected all of  the wrecks, and the second he had finished, uncloaked and rained hell.

Boom

It was a nice paycheck, and as I slithered back underneath my cloak- almost chuckled to myself. Why did I leave wormhole in the first place?

I thought that would be it from that corp for the rest of the day- but it appears I was wrong.

I continued on down the chain of holes, where there was a C3 with a high sec static. I took up camp around the high sec hole, and decided to see if anything fun would come out. However I should have been more concerned with what was already inside. It seemed that I was not the only person to have discovered this highway to known space. An itteron V and a bestower had warped from inside the C3 to the high sec hole. Checking their bio's it seemed that they were part of the corporation who I had just recently relieved of a noctis.

Looking back in hindsight- what I was about to do was completely stupid. (Explained later)

When the two hauleres came back through- I uncloaked and targeted the Itty V. It went down quickly.

http://shieldbattery.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16982449

Just as I had finished cleaning up the pod- a tengu decloaked and started to target me. As missiles slammed into my hull- I noticed that they were HAM's. Couple this with the fact that the tengu had a cloaky sub system, and was also using a seebo- and I knew that this pilot would be easy prey in my bomber.

I pulled out of his HAM range and started to kite him. I took my strong crash booster (and didn't get any side effects thank god) And let loose my heated 730 dps (Which thanks to my crash booster, 5% implants, and T2 Explosion velocity rigging was nearly all applied to the tengu)

Needless to say he didn't like that. I forced him out of the hole in 50% structure. SO CLOSE TO HILARIOUS KLL MAIL! However it was not meant to be.

For the time being, I repped up my heat damage, and flew back to the original C5 hole where I had snagged that juicy noctis and promptly went afk.

Remember how I said 'completely stupid' in the above post? Well here is why: When I came back after a few hours, I hit the Dscan and notice that they are again running a site, cap escalating it the same way with two moros and a thanatos. Except this time something was different when they brought the noctis in for salvage.

Yes that's right- A scorpion with all mids fitted with jammers. I still tried to get the kill. But sadly- only could get two torps off before being perma jammed. I attempted to bump tackle the noctis, but missed after only two or three times- and it escaped. I hung around for a bit longer, enjoying the fact that there was a scorpion doing nothing but jamming me, and two moros shooting pot shots at a frig. Thankfully the scorpion did miss a single cycle, and I had a chance to at least shoot it. I wish it would have missed two- because two torps out of my tubes dropped the battle ship into armor. However once the jams kicked in- i burned out, warped off, and started probing out greener pastures.

Ohh well you win some you lose some.

On and off again

Well I am back. Wh space seems so much more appealing all of a sudden. Thank god for the new torp rework. Because the pull of WH space i can resist no longer- so that means the blog must continue.

Jumping back into the solo WH bomber has been fun so far. I dusted off my old fits, and hit the EFT lab for awhile to see if I could come up with something better. After a bit of time I came out with this shiny new piece of hardware:

[Purifier, Siren]
Domination Ballistic Control System
Domination Ballistic Control System
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Gistii B-Type 1MN Afterburner
Warp Disruptor II
Medium Ancillary Shield Booster, Cap Booster 50

Core Probe Launcher (offlined) Sisters Core scanner Probes
Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Torpedo
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Small Bay Loading Accelerator II
Small Warhead Rigor Catalyst I

Implants:
Genos Ca-1
Genos Ca-2
TD-605
Zor's custom navigation hyper-link
TN-905
RL-1005
(Strong Crash booster when I need it)

Cargo:

500CN Torps
100 Nanite Paste
20 Cap booster
5 Sisters core scanner probes

Heated DPS: 663 which is 100% applied to anything industrial / BC and UP. With crash on, i am doing close to 375 DPS vs MWD cruisers (going at full speed)

Cap: Stable
Tank: 100 DPS
Speed: 1K non heat, 1.2K heat
Sig: 37

With the new HML and missile changes in general, this purifier can flat out tank just about anything that can hit it. Warriors take awhile to chew through my tank, hobs have a hard time applying full damage- and thanks  tothe the AB and no MSE I am finding it easier to get under guns of BC's. Dat sig tank.

Things have been going well so far. I am happy to see that people inside of worm hole space are still having the same old habits of general laziness and forgetfulness. Things started out fairly quickly for me. Just 1 hour or so back in the cockpit of my new bomber, and I had already found myself a juicy target. It seems that an intrepid tengu was clearing a C3 site. I happened upon him in the most ideal way. I popped into his worm hole out of his D-scan, hit the system scanner, checked the locus on wormnav, D-scanned all before my initial cloak was gone off the session change from the low sec hole.

Noticing that I didn't have full D-scan coverage of the WH, I cloaked up and warped across- spamming D scan the entire time. That's when I found him. Upon seeing the wrecks, I quickly hit F10 Jumped into my system map, and began aligning myself with known sleeper sights for a 15 degree scan. 3min later I was 50K off the tengu a bit high off his 9 oclock.

He was finishing quickly, and soon enough he warped back to his pos. A few seconds later I notice that there is a Noctis on my d-scan, and smiling to myself prepare to get to work. The noctis lands on cue, and begins salvaging the wrecks. Once the last one was consumed by the gaping maw of the hungry industrial ship- I let loose all 573 DPS.

My CN torps snaked out of the tubes, and dropped him into low armor. Next shot was the end for him. (Luckily for him he had been on the ball enough to at least get his pod out)

See this is the thing I love about stealth bombers- inside of 10 seconds I had the noctis dead, looted and wreck destroyed. Its a beautiful thing. Sadly I can't say the same for the quality of loot I picked up.

http://shieldbattery.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=16950630

Ohh well, it was a low class hole. It will probably be a few days before I can descend down into C5-C6. I can't wait, because that is where the real money is at.

Stay tuned for more.

Fly dangerously!

Does anyone else have some epic EvE Halloween Stuff? You should post it!

Ps. Can I get a Rattlesnake now :P ?

Easy ISK

This blog again finds me logging into a C2 worm hole, with a high sec static. Read the other 2 parts of my blog to catch up on the story. So last time I left off - I had just finished off killing a noctis, covetor, and a kestral all in one day. I had logged for the past three days, becuase I was spending the weekend up with my girlfriend. When I finally got around to logging back in- I did the usual- D scan. I did a double take and pressed the scan again. Again NOTHING showed up on scan..... At this point I was very very confused.... So i went to my warp in points on the POS. Sure enough it was gone! So I guess that my antics had moved the people out of the hole. Surprising what a single T2 frig can do :)

At this point I was at a bit of a loss.... I don't have any more targets to hunt, so I knew that it was time to move on. But before I did- I posted the WH to sell it on the boards. Thankfully someone was interested, and I sold the worm hole for 210mil. Not bad for a days of work, but I wanted more! I was only about 100mil away from a PLEX (and let me tell you I love PLEX) so I went diving down another hole I found. I made it about 5 holes deep before I found something interesting. I was in a class 4 and on my D scan there appeared a ton of sleeper wrecks, and a solo tengu.

Now this is what I call a golden opportunity! The tengu seemed to have completed 2 combat sites and was 100% by him self. I gleefully sat and waited while he finished up his second site. After the last BS has popped, he warped to his POS and came back in a noctis. I watched as he slowly cleaned the first site, and then headed over to the second one. As I watched him clean up the second, a fleeting thought passed through my mind. Why do holies leave so many millions of dollars in salvage in an undefended industrial ship? Obviusly this guy was solo so perhaps that was the case- but would it not have been smarter to drop the 1st site loot off at the POS?

Either way his haste payed off for me at least. Like normal I had followed behind him while he cleaned wrecks, and just as he finished up with the last one- I opened up the torpedo bay doors, and let loose some very angry caldari navy mjolnir torps. He popped quickly from their wrath. And low and behold, the juicy noctis let flow a bountiful loot! 130mil worth of sleeper guts! Not bad for a days worth- about 340mil on the day, so hurray for another 30 days of game time!

Now I am going to be skipping around With my story some what. I am catapulting you the reader to the last few days of my current worm hole occupation. The reason why I am doing so, is becuase it was the first time that I have ever had the chance to spring a trap. And also the first time I had ever seen so many tears. a few days ago I was diving holes like normal, and making sure to check each hole on static mapper to see if any had a high occupancy rate. Normally you can tell how 'well traveled' a worm hole is by looking at the amount of combat and cosmic sites left standing. a worm hole with few means that people are actively farming the hole, and a worm hole with many means that it has rather sparse occupancy.

Normally I notice that C1 and C2 worm holes are the most occupied, while C4 - C6 are not. You can imagine my surprise then, when I found a C4 worm hole almost devoid of any sites. It seems that 2 corps had just moved in, and there was plent of activity on static mapper to back up my gut feeling. I decided that this would be a nice place to settle down for awhile, and moved in with my large secure container. After stocking it, I proceeded to rain hell from above with my little frig.

The first day went well, and i netted two kills. The first was a clueless covetor, and that was followed shortly by a heron popping out moon probes. The heron kill was interesting at least. I used my D scan to keep tracking how down on the moons. He was moving from moon at a fast pace. I got awfully close on a couple of occasions, but finally I guessed his warp in distance and basically warped in right on top of him. Only being 10k away I easily opened up everything on him, and was just finishing him off when his friend in a drake care screaming in to save him. To bad for the drake- but he was a bit late. I popped the heron and made a dash to my safe. as soon as I could, I came back and looted the heron wreck. Inside I was surprised to see about 2k worth of paradise cruise missiles, and random ammo. Perhaps they were trying to stop me from looting with the cargo size increase? I will never know- so i just blew it up. Almost on cue the drake came back- but again too late. All went well, and I made sure that i gave each pilot my service fee. The covetor incurred extra cost because as a PIRATE (Protecting Innocent Roids Againt Terrifying Exhumers) operative- it is my duty to ensure that any unlawful removal of space scenery is carried out under license. For those of you that wish to purchase a license, contact me in game for further details :)

Anyway on with the story. The first night didn't lend me with any good loot. However when I logged on the next day. The corps seemed to be moving POS mods into the system. I took up watch near the worm hole, and waited. A capsule and 2 badgers came from the pos and sat on the hole for some time. I held my guns, knowing that if I opened fire- they could simply escape to the other side. There apparent waiting seemed to have worked in my favor. They thought it was safe, and they were secure in their own little eve server. The badgers eventually jumped through. A little while later- one of the badgers warps back through the worm hole. Now you should never be killed while on a worm hole....Because if you are smart and wait out the timer, you can stay cloaked up and invincible for 30 seconds, before you initiate warp. If while you are trying to warp you are targeted- jump back through the hole.

Thankfully for me the badger pilot was in a rush- and started to align the second he was in system. That was good news for me, and I uncloaked and popped him. I looted what I could and no sooner had I finished than a hyperion and dramiel came warping in to save his now dead friend. Thankfully I easily escaped and decided to go AFK for a bit. I had some homework to attend to.

After completing the home work, I logged back in. I hit the D scanner- and who do i see but that covetor again. It was sitting in the same place, mining. Exactly like last night. Ladies and gentlemen, this is where my fun started. I hit the D scan and notice that they have 2 dramiels sitting on their POS. Also- their manticore that they had out earlier was suspiciously missing. Admiral Akbar was telling me in my mind that ITS A TRAP! I knew that the wise admiral was correct, and I needed to get bigger guns. So i went to my container, and grabbed my bomb launcher and one EM bomb.

I warped to the worm hole exit, gut shot into a C1 and then took that C1 to highsec. I re fit in a station, and soon I was back in my C4, bomb launcher attached and ready. before I decided to move in on the covetor again, I looked up their manticore fit. and HOLY SHIT- Fail fit doesn't even begin to describe that. So feeling a bit better about my chances I slowly stalked up to within 30k of the covetor. Setting my Dscan to 3 Au i was getting prepared to leave the second the drams hit my scan. With one last breath I unloaked, lockup up the covetor- overheated my torps and let fly. The second my torps were out of their tubes i released my bomb- and set my orbit. Suddenly a manticore decloaked about 15K off my bow. Shit. Then he started to point me with a long point- double shit. I was pointed.

I immediately aligned towards my far safe, and while pressing D scan like a mad man- noticed that the 2 drams were coming. TRIPLE SHIT. In the middle of all this- the covetor (who was now outside my point range) went pop. As the first volly of jugg torps hit my shields I knew that it was go time. (I didn't want to take the sig radius hit from turning on my MWD to early, so i waited until the first torps hit.) The second my shields dropped, I hit the MWD and overheated. I started to fly away at 3.3K. The drams landed on grid about 50K away, and they started to burn at me at rather scary speed. Luckily my speed fit purifer was miles faster than the manticore, and he lost point. I hit warp and moved on just at the second volley of torps hit my shields. Thankfully- i didn't even have my paint scratched :)

DAT COVETOR

And now the best for last- the chat logs. Hope you enjoyed, and fly safe!

100MN Tengu, Not a bomber But fun.

^ That post is insufficient. Therefore I will post my take on le battle.

I was sitting back relaxing- admiring the soft blue glow of my utilitarian caldari quarters, when suddenly the intercom crackled to life. It seems that one of our deep space covops pilots had detected something rather interesting. His voice sounded rushed, and excited. An orca was slow boating out of a large bubble, near gate 3 jumps from my home system. Feeling my heart quicken with the thought of enforcing the space lanes (it seemed this pilot was unlicensed), I sprinted out onto the gang plank- and horridly shoved my ocular implant special edition manacle into my eye. I stopped by the mini fridge near my pod, pulled out a Quafe, some blue pill, and a bit of crash for the upcoming altercation with this unlicensed flyer. As I sank into the warm link fluid of my pod, I hesitated a moment and looked out at my gang plank. There she was, standing in nothing but a grey night gown, looking as beautiful as ever, I flashed a smile, and hoped that I would come back soon. She waved, and a second later my pod closed with a soft thud. The cool electronic chords fused into my lower skull and along my spine. I was home again. As i slowly coalesced with my ship, tactical overlays began to dance in my psyche. I forgot about her, about space bills, everything else exited from my mind. I was ready.
I opened my mind, and pushed my ' Tengu ' class strategic cruiser through the docking port. As I took stock of my ship, I fondly remembered how I had become the proud owner of this vessel; A gift from a special friend. I checked over my fittings- Heavy missiles, pirate class shield booster, special 'federation' issue webs, and a nice disruptor from a friend of mine who was chummy with some thukker guys. As i was calmly towed out of station- a long shadow descended upon my cruiser. Looking up I noticed that it was none other than a 'Machariel' class Battleship. I grinned to myself; it seems that my fellow officer aeth gemulus had decided to take this job seriously. I could never figure out how he had gotten a hold of that ship. It being a pirate ship, he stuck out like a sore thumb flying alongside my police issue ship, but it had never let him down in a fight. According to him it was in some convoluted karaoke bet... that he had won the ship. But for some reason I just couldn't believe that story- no one in their right mind would part with something so deadly over a song.
Aeth invited me to link into his fleet, and I was happy to notice that another officer was already on the case. It seems that good news travels fast. As I linked into fleet communications, I was greeted by none other than Jed. Already a jump ahead of me, Jed was in his trusty ‘Tornado’ class Battle Cruiser. I had always through that was an interesting choice- every time we entered warp, I always thought that his ship would come out on the other end reduced to nothing but metal scraps. But if anyone could handle a ship like that it was Jed, and in the past few years- it had never let him down (scratched paint and duck tape aside) As we exchanged pleasantries I urged my ship into warp, and felt the familiar shudder as my engines screamed to life.
As I flew towards the first gate, it appeared that our unlicensed pilot was attempting to fly a huge ‘Orca’ class Capital Industrial ship un-detected through our patrolled space. Why a pilot could somehow think he / she could surreptitiously move an orca through space is beyond me. It must be loaded with illegals, or some type of contraband. This could potentially be a huge bust- and break our smuggling case wide open. It’s just what we needed.
Things started to get dicey when our covops guy lost sight of the target. It seems that our runner had taken an interesting turn through G-M4I8, and was headed towards R-2R0G. Luckily using his police instincts, and years of experience on the beat- Jed made the right call and was already warping ‘the nado’ towards the R-2 gate in G-m. Communications suddenly became hesitant. Jed had pushed his Tornado into warp, and was making best speed towards the gate. His scanner picked up the fugitive as it jumped out of system. We were racing against the clock, it was all up to Jed.
Jumping from Saranen into 93PI-4 I knew that I had to assist Jed quickly. With a bust this big, it will almost be certain that the drug lords will put up a fight. Communications became a monologue of Jeds status reports. It seems that he had missed disrupting the fugitive on the G-M gate in R-2 and was giving chase towards the system of CR-AQH. My feelings of trepidation about this job were almost uncontrollable. CR- is the home system of a band of scum lords, all of which were gnomes with a serious case of small men syndrome.
Jed continued pinging my ship with status updates, it seemed that the target had jumped into CR- and Jed was right behind. Luckily Aeth and I were just warping into R-2 so we were only a short distance behind. The seconds crawled by… Jed hit the gate and jumped- blind into CR-. Aeth and I awaited breathlessly, when suddenly ‘GATE CLEAR, D SCAN CLEAR, ORCA OFF GATE… I HAVE POINT!’ with a quick ‘hell ya’ on our fleet chatter Aeth and I jumped into the pirate den. I tried to hide my dumb grin- it was go time.
My tengu shuddered out of system trans warp, and I quickly took in my surroundings. D scan was clear for now, but my neocom showed 33 pilots in local. With our fleet consisting of Aeth, Jed, myself, and a scurrying officer tofu (who was a few jumps out in his trusty hurricane) I knew we had to take care of this situation quickly. I saw the machariels engines belch fire as Aeth punched the accelerator and proceeded to ram the Ocra farther from the system gate. It was all over now. I urged my tengu closer and ‘webbed’ the target- he was stuck now.
Now that we had secured the arrest, we attempted to ticket the pilot. However the pilot resisted our offer of a lenient 500mil fine, and instead preceded to retort- ‘Fuck you’ in local. We attempted to calm the subject down, however this only seemed to aggravate his unstable mood more- and he began calling out on all local subspace channels ‘I need help’. Unsure of how quickly the small men could truly mount a resistance force, officer Jed and Aeth decided to poke a few holes in the orca. With 15 800mm ‘Repeating’ artillery on the field, these ships could dish out a ton of hurt, soon fire had broken out aboard many decks of the now sinking orca.
However it was against officer policy to destroy ships outright- unless there was imminent danger, or outward signs of aggressing. Because the Orca had done neither- it was our duty to wait out until a proper resolution to the problem was found. In the mean time I proceeded to send a proper communiqué through all ‘Team Liquid’ space channels in an attempt to acquiesce additional supporting officers.
Thirty minutes later, and now 175K off the gate- the officers had grown weary. It seems that the gnomes were too drunk / high to mount a significant threat, and the orca pilot had resigned to his fate- he knew it was over. During this time, I had ordered someone to get a bubble set up around the orca (who needs a dictor? Not I. ), in the hopes that after we killed the crumbling ship, we could also take down the pilots pod. However before my brilliant plan could take effect, my neo-comm screamed in my ear- local space had jumped up to 50. It seemed that backup had finally arrived,
 and in force.
Giving the order, one round of shells out of the machariel and tornado put the orca out of its misery.

Thankfully I also arrested the pod.

Hitting my D-scan quickly, I found that it had exploded with ships, all comprising the enemy fleet.

It seemed that our reputation had preceded us 26 vs 4. Now that is what I call good odds. As the Orca lay listing in space, our ever aware commander realized that we could not leave this large amount of litter in space. While our fleet began to align out I along with another trash acquisition ship approached the listing wreck. With a salvager equipped, my companion officer Orious had the orca cleaned up in no time- and luckily not a moment too soon. Officer Aeth called for a 50K warp to the small men home station, we were going to meet them for glorious battle.
I kicked the tengu into warp, and once I shuddered back into normal space- my sensors had exploded with ships. This is Just what I had been waiting for- a chance to really put my new tengu ‘Freckles’ through her paces. I overhead my special Gist- X type 100MN afterburner, and charged into the enemy fleet. As my tengu surged ahead into the fleet, I knew that I had to keep a keen eye on my piloting. Half of the fleet had already read boxed me, and I had a feeling that I was going to be called damage primary. There was enough alpha on the field to insta pop my hyper high end cruiser, I couldn’t get careless or lose transversal for a second. The battle on the station raged for about 10 min. During that time our fleet tried in vein to apply enough DPS to try and pull through 3X scimi reps. We got close on many occasions, but the small men seemed unwilling to go beyond 30K of their station, and certainly never out of Scimi rep range.
We were getting bored- so Officer Aeth called a warp out, to a Far gate. At 70K We had only a few seconds reprieve when their entire gang landed 50K off us. It was time for round two. Luckily I had just finished repairing most of my heat damage, and began to burn towards the fleet again- when I noticed a Machariel along with light tackle on a intercept course towards me. Again their entire gang proceeded to red box me, and my computer screamed in a symphony of warnings. I began to change my course, and punched my AB. I need to keep that Mach off me, and at the same time I need to ensure that light tackle didn’t web me. Slowing down would be death to me. Using my webs the first of the light tackle bit the dust thanks to a coordinated effort  focusing our DPS on the webbed frigate.
The other frig disengaged, and I decided to strike out at the Machariel. I had it webbed, and pointed- and for a short while- the pilot had stupidly flown of his Scimitar Rep range. Officer Aeth called for all DPS on the machariel. I heated my launchers and prayed. Could we kill it in time before the scimitars could give their life saving reps? 75% Shield, 50% Shield, 25% shield…. And shit. The reps hit him just in time. I had been orbiting this Mach for some time now, and my tengu was feeling the strain. Their entire enemy fleet had closed distance on our position, and I was feeling the Machariels heavy neut slamming into my cruiser (along with a web… wtf a machariel with a web? ) with my 8 active modules all running, some running with heat, and a fleet of about 30 ships focusing on you- I would never trade this job for any in the world.

‘Freckles’ and I were in our element. I heated my AB, drank my Quafe, and took some crash. I over heated my webs and began the process of peeling frigs and the machariel off me. I grabbed the harpy first- with webs on and it called damage primary, I had hoped that we could kill it. But sadly we didn’t have the projection to bring it down under 3X sustained scimitar reps. Thankfully, Caldari AF’s are not known for their speed and I pulled away from his web, while he was still stuck under mine. Next came the rifter that was also webbing me.
After him, it was only me and the machariel. Keen to keep my transversal up I had begun cork screwing down and away from the body of the enemy fleet. Thankfully I was faster than the angel battleship, and holding my webs on him, broke free. But I was hardly in the clear at this point. My cap booster, shield booster, webs, and AB were running all out just to keep me afloat. My mids were heating up and my Tengu shook as the combined brunt of the enemy’s fleet struck it. I had gotten through the worst of it. Or so I had thought. What remained of our small fleet was valiantly trying to bring down primaries. At this point we had not lost a single officer.
For the next twenty minutes I dove in and out of the enemy fleet- trying to separate them from the scimis, grab points, and webs on primarys and trying to find a way to pull anything closer to our fleet. Being in a tengu can be a blessing and at times a curse. Here I was: one versus thirty attempting to secure points and webs for my fleet, when primaries were called. I was the only ship that could get in this close with any hope of survival. However the pilots of the hatchery are not about to be undone: leaving me mostly to traverse the battle field as a lone wolf, the remaining hatchery pilots found ways to fly around the maelstrom and position their ships perfectly to apply DPS, and somehow manage to avoided the two lachesis and light (scimi repped) tackle on the field. It is a pleasure having the opportunity to fly with some of the best in the business of law enforcement.
As the battle raged on, officer Aeth and I had decided that the only way we could really get a kill in this fight, was for their fleet to become sloppy- and move out of rep range. It was going to be a waiting game. But the unthinkable happened. Jed our feerless Orca hunter, suddenly had light tackle descending on his tornado. Remaining calm he over heated his MWD and tried to pull as much range as possible, before the enevitable scram hit him: Because if that happened, his tornado would lose speed, range control and be volleyed off the field by the superior enemy fleet. Jed called for support, and myself along with our anti tackle ships flew to his rescue. He had a harpy, rains, and lachesis long pointing him.
Pangell, Orious, and I rushed to Jeds Aid. Orious split webs on the harpy- and Jed costed out of web range. But a tranis was gaining ground on him. Luckily I threw webs on the tranis, and took it down.

The ranis exploded in a ball of blue light- and Jeds MWD once again screamed to life. But sadly it was too little too late. The lachesis had a long point on him. As our fleet tried in vain to kill it under 3X scimi reps Jed and his valiant tornado burst into blue light.

With the battle quickly becoming a stalemate, it seemed that the small men had gotten bored, and returned back to their home station. Through sheer grit and determination the EC- police held the field.

Flying back to Saranen, I remembered why I played this game. For great PvP battles like this. There is nothing better than returning home with most of your modules burnt out, successful, and being able to say-
“I was there.”
